ISACS are also delighted to announce that they are presenting a special training programme in Critical Writing entitled: ‘Critical Encounters with Street Arts, Circus & Spectacle’ in partnership with the MA in Festive Arts, at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance, University of Limerick on Wednesday and Thursday November 9th & 10th. This is a great opportunity for writers, critics, reviewers, bloggers, instagrammers, etc to gain an insiders insight into viewing and writing about the art forms of Street Arts, Circus and Spectacle.

This programme involves both seminars and practical workshops.  Special guest speakers include Floriane Gaber (researcher and writer), Kim Tilbrook (socially-engaged art producer and facilitator) and Paschale Straiton (artistic director, Red Herring theatre company).  This will be followed by an opportunity to actually put into practice some of the learning at the National Circus Festival of Ireland, Tralee with Floriane Gaber on hand as mentor over the weekend.

Transport is arranged to bring people from Limerick to Tralee on Thursday evening.
